I’ve had it. About every 3-4 weeks, the soap that I keep in my gym bag pops open and spills soap over everything in it. Right now, I’m using the Zest soap in a bottle. The top pops open ever so slightly or a full on gush. It is very annoying. Does anyone recommend any soaps or containers that won’t pop open like this?
Anything that leaks/smears/oozes that I carry around regularly in my bag I stick in a ziploc baggie…

why don’t you buy a (large) gel flask and (re)fill it with the liquid soap (which you can also buy in big bulk containers for cheaper)? the gel flasks that look like small bike bottles don’t seem like they would come open on their own…
That actually isn’t a bad idea. Also, I won’t have to carry around this huge, heavy bottle of soap. I’ll check this out.
Nalgene makes a slew of small bottles. Completely leakproof. Just decant whatever you need into one, throw it in your bag and forget it.
I use this thing, I don’t know what brand it is - it doesn’t matter to me - it’s called a bar of soap. It has never burst open & leaked.
Of course I am only talking about those rare occasions when I bother to shower at all.

+1 on the Nalgene bottle. The never leak. REI has 'em in a million sizes.
I DO NOT need to go to REI. Almost every time I go there, I walk out of there with over $100 in gear that I really, really want but don’t really need. I’ve got the backpacking bug again and I’m building up my collection. Luckily, that habit tends to be cheaper than the triathlon habit.

Put a bar of soap in one of those plastic soap containers (these snap shut). Very cheap and easy.

I love freedom, especially financial freedom. No impulse buying at REI!
I’ve used those in the past and I’ve had problems with them popping open as well. Also, some of them have a small drain hole in them and that just leaks soap goop everywhere as well.
