Hello Formely stef32,

Thank you for responding to my post. I have just pm you.

Thank you StephanM and steveo57 for your help on behalf of searching for my dream bike CAT Cheetah Carbon Bike. Finally my dream came true. I bought two CAT bikes. I love them very much. I was so excited when I opened the boxes when they arrived. Here is my first CAT Cheetah bike and I will post the second bike when I am done with the set up. I will buy more CAT Cheetah if I have more opportunity.

That is one cool bike collection…

MaxT,

Did the Cheetah’s you purchased come with the hydraulic twist brakes or X aerobars/handlebars like Natascha Badmann’s ride?

Thank you very much, every moment is a moment of joy.

My second Cheetah is similar to Natascha Badmann’s ride. It has Complete CAT Cheetah’s parts include the CAT tri spoke wheels and saddle with water bottle holder. It is done with set up and had a first test ride yesterday. I will post the photos and video soon.

Hello Herbie Handcock,

Here it is, my baby, just like Natascha Badmann’s ride!

I tried to find some times to post more photos, but here are some so far:

.

Just bought another one. It will be my third CAT Cheetah bike. I cannot wait for the shipping.

MaxT, how to like the Magura HS77 brakes on the CAT? Both the calipers and levers go for crazy money on eBay, I think they have a strong following in the touring bike/tandem community. The HS77 were part of the original hydraulic road groupset with STI/Ergopower integrated shifting, made by EDCO in the 90s.

Also, as the delighted owner of a BP Stealth beam bike I wonder if you ever had one in your collection too?

Obviously it´s nowhere near as exotic as the majority of your (remarkable) collection, but it´s a very fast, fun and comfortable ride.
I did my build on a low budget:

I like the BP Stealth. But it is not considered a “beam bike.” It has a seat tube and is lacking an unsupported top tube.

Correct - I used the wrong nomenclature.

Hello Barchettaman,

Thank you for your nice thought of my bicycle collection. I honestly think hydraulic system on a road bike is not necessary and is scary. You can still lock up the wheels with regular Dura Ace brakes if you apply enough brake. I am still a fan of regular brakes because they are much easier to take care.

BP Stealth is a very nice stealthy looking bike especially in black. The curves flow smoothly throughout the frame. My favorite area is at the top tube and seat tube that curve together up to the seat post. I like it very much, I hope you enjoy it and take good care of it.

Hello Herbie Handcock,
I have just bought another CAT Cheetah bike number 3. I received it yesterday and I am finding time to set it up. I think you all have seen it on internet search before. I will post the images soon.
-Max T

Well done MaxT. Your bike collection is an inspiration. I forgot to ask earlier, do your Cheetah’s have the internal hydration bladder? I remember years ago see Natasch’s and Lori Bowden’s bike at Kona with them thinking that is one of the greatest ideas ever. Then many years later Specialized put that feature on their Shiv.

Thank you Herbie,

I hope my bicycle collection inspire many people as they inspired me when I was a in a hard life as a student.

I believe all CAT Cheetah Carbon Bikes have internal hydration bladder. Somehow my latest CAT Cheetah bike does not have it. I think it is an option to have it when order a new frame. The internal hydration bladder on the CAT Cheetah is very simple. It just has a clean drilled hole on the top of a frame about an inch in diameter with the hose accessory attaches to the hole.

I have a very hard time setting up the bike, not a bike but a Hed Black Dog aero bar. This is the only aero bar that looks the best for the CAT Cheetah bike. The CAT Cheetah bike has beautiful form and function. It is a metaphor of Batman, sail boat, a killer whale, a mantis and yet still looks very elegant and smooth. It is a monster but yet very gentle to ride. The frame is a very low profile which has similar height as 650c wheel. It makes you feel like you are flying in the air when riding on a super long seat post. It is a very sensitive bike because it has complete carbon fiber. I do not see any aluminum at all. The fork and drop out do not have any aluminum accessory. Every time I clamp the wheels on it, I feel teeth crunching.
