I am on MyWhoosh for indoor training

I started using MyWhoosh in late December. I setup the triathlon training plan they gave. I works pretty well in ERG mode. I haven’t run into any problems really, though other say it is buggy.
The only thing I am suspicious about is the training plans. I don’t know if the workouts are working me hard enough. I am in late base training plan for 4 weeks.

It seems like few people know about this app and that it free.

Just stumbled onto this myself.

It’s pretty Good for workouts.

Zwift must be pissed. Its a Direct copy of the program

You could probably say the same of all first person shooters out there as well
.

I just started using the app a month ago, and I feel the same about the quality of the workouts in regards to if I’m doing enough. Almost a year later, how did it work out for you?

Anyone else using MyWhoosh?

Anyone else using MyWhoosh?

There are a couple dozen.

It has a user base at any given time of about 1% of Zwift…and that’s counting the large number of bots they use to populate the courses to make them look less empty. UAE’s funding it so it’s free (for now), but that’s about all it has going for it IMO.

I’ve been on it since November. Mostly solo rides as I do my TR workouts, but it’s been pretty good. The one group ride I did was sufficiently populated. Only had one episode of it crashing which seems to have been corrected. I don’t see the reduced rider count as a compelling reason to switch back to a Zwift (as long as it stays free).

Are you guys still on it? Any longer term reviews?
I’m considering giving this a try.
Was using Zwift a few years back and at times quite intensively including doing races etc, but as I’ve stopped racing tri, my appetite/need for consistent training over the winter has shrunk. For the occasional indoor ride just for fun I wasn’t gonna keep the Zwift subscription, so here we go…

I think Zwift could serve people like me by offering something like a 200-mile subscription, where you can top up your remaining mileage and pay as you ride. But since they don’t, I’ll give the free thing a try.

even though its free, the cartoon graphics i can only endure for so long. I only use it in the summer where maybe I do 1 session a week. Winter season I get a rouvy subscription

I started with MyWhoosh about two years ago, and completely switched from Zwift for bike sessions about four months later. No crashes or annoying bugs in the last year or so.

Some worlds look gorgeours, some like a drug dream, and the details especially in cities can be overwhelming. But I only use it for ERG mode training sessions, no group rides or races, and mostly with Netflix in front.

Only drawback: rides are not saved to Garmin, because they don’t allow MyWhoosh access to the API.

For my treadmill, I still use Zwift (which is free for running).

same for me, switched from Zwift to TP virtual and now to MyWoosh. I have my training plan in intervals.icu and they sinc directly to MyWoosh.

and yes, a bit annoying that rides are not saved to Garmin, but once i week i manually download the fit files from Strava and upload to garmin connect.

Afaik, MyWhooshs training plans are really good (for a one-size-fits-all approach). Same for Sufferfest, but their sessions were a tad too hard for me.

Having a good coach is of course the best solution (until our AI overlords start to optimize us “for free”). And a plan that’s 5% too easy is not only better than nothing, but almost optimal. Consistency is king, not pain
