I am just going to post this and then slowly back away…

I really enjoy swimming in the Great Lakes from Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, Kentucky, and Wash DC.

Colorado seems more Southwest than Midwest.

@terriblemaps has some crazy visions https://x.com/terriblemaps?lang=en

I’ll let the BLS do the arguing for me wanker

I knew that you would love it.

BEST. MAP. EVER!!!

This is what happens when you refuse to have a category for “great plain states”.

It is arguable whether NY is in New England. Anything more distant is clearly not.

CO is in the SW.

I don’t see how you can argue with a single thing on this map.

This should be the one post everyone in the LR agrees on.

The fuck we are!

The map is totally bogus. What you need to respond to is why the province of Ontario, Canada goes as far west as it does? Does it have 3 time zones or just 2?

The Western edge of New England is the right-hand guardrail on the Northbound side of the New York Thruway, continuing on I-87 above The Capital District, in my experience

YMMV
.

Aaaaaa! Somehow it managed to troll even Alaska and Hawaii!!!

Pittsburgh us definitely not in New England.

No, it definitely is not arguable.

CT is a part of NY city, really just it’s own suburb.

RI is… nobody really knows.

Hell, Maine NH and the Vermont really don’t even consider Mass to be much of New England any longer.

But, that is true the further north you go: if you’re from Bangor, anything south of Lewiston ain’t even truly Maine, nevermind New England. And in NH, if you’re from below the Notches, you’re from Mass. Vermont is its own piece of fucked up, but they don’t bother too many folk so we don’t much mind 'em.

That said, I love those guys over at Terrible Maps! They come up with some great shit!

Classic LR. BleP posts a bullshit map from a site called terriblemaps, makes it absolutely clear he’s just pulling the pin on a grenade and dropping it in a thread, and people still get riled up arguing about the quality of the map.
