Anyone drinking this for training?
Keep away from open flame.
Oh, the humanity…
My water already has hydrogen in it, as far as I know? /p
Just when I thought we’d reached peak snake oil?
Thinking the same. Sticking with my Sparkletts Crystal-Fresh Purified Water! Tap water in Arizona is not the best tasting.
just H2? up your game with hydrogen-3 (3H) and turn into superman!
Pfft.
Heavy water for the win.
actually do a pubmed search on hydrogen rich water (hydrogen rich water - Search Results - PubMed)… it is a thing. The tablets used to generate hydrogen rich water contain metallic magnesium and some citric and or tartaric acid to deal with the magnesium ions the occur after the magnesium metal reacts with the water. The process generate free hydrogen gas which is dissolved in the water (at least some is). Thus molecular hydrogen enriched water. This is not new and has been looked at for sport for some time.
one very recent study: Zhou K, Yuan C, Shang Z, Jiao W, Wang Y. Effects of 8 days intake of hydrogen-rich water on muscular endurance performance and fatigue recovery during resistance training. Front Physiol. 2024 Oct 7;15:1458882. doi: 10.3389/fphys.2024.1458882. PMID: 39434721; PMCID: PMC11491356. results: Results: The total power output (HRW: 50,866.7 ± 6,359.9W, Placebo: 46,431.0 ± 9,376.5W, p = 0.032) and the total number of repetitions (HRW:78.2 ± 9.5 repetitions, Placebo: 70.3 ± 9.5 repetitions, p = 0.019) in the H2 supplemented group were significantly higher than in the placebo group. However, there was no statistically significant difference (p< 0.05) between the H2 and placebo groups in CMJ, TQRS, and VAS.
This reminds me of about 15 yrs ago when garyhallsr was promoting superoxygenated water and energy drinks infused with ATP onthis forum.
If you really want some energy, just convert the extra Hydrogen into Helium.
That’s a baller move. It’s best to to the hydrogen helium conversion on the bike. Most Garmin pedals and Qarq cranks need a conversion factor from KJ to GW. The real trick is also finding a chain wax that can handle the heat without melting.
Pfft.
Ceramic bearings, aero white papers, secret bends in waxes, cooling crystal sweatbands, long cranks, short cranks, aero gloves, socks, shoes, pedals, underpants, bottles, backpack, and moobs, tyres, rims, skinny forks, wide forks, skinny tyres, wide tyres, tubs, clinchers. Take my $$$.
Actual sciency paper. Yawn, nah, clearly hokum.
Of course if you had got a model to put a white coat on and thick rimmed glasses to read it, and called it hydronium pro + x46 then it would have been another story.
if you were to think bicarbonate can affect a change in performance why would this work much different they are both alkaline agents. In the end like most things there is a need for good science. Whether this is good science or not is something that time will tell. I am agnostic to this at the moment, just putting the science out there for all to make a fair assessment rather than some hype click bait.
Just confirming I was moving myself (and general ST Forum view?) in believing all sorts of performance benefits with minimal science but being highly skeptical of something with apparent genuine science.
As a past creative director got to love it! Is that a SNL skit? I once had a client 30 years ago who wanted us to market their “pure ice” which used water from a reverse osmosis system. While our branding looked amazing the focus group said hell no to paying twice as much a bag than ready ice. Frozen tap water ice tasted just the same in their don julio 1942 tequila
No - that is their real shit
Liquid Death was started by a skateboarder from Delaware, who went to Art School, got a Design degree, and got a Corporate job - and hated it (much like myself, who drew Campbell Kids for 10 years)
Then, he took a different path - as did I, sort of?
He’s doing better than me, by some metrics; I could say we’re about equal by others
I often combine mine with some additional carbon and hydrogen for even more potency.
