I have bought a Canyon Speedmax CF 7 Disc eTap and also bought a profile designe hydration
system to go with it, however I figured it out later that the this profile design system isn’t compatible with this bike model.
I am trying to find a front hydration system that is compatible with this Speedmax model but I can’t seem to find any. Would anyone know which Hydrstion system I could buy?
Cockpit is:
Stem
Canyon V21
Exclusively designed for our Speedmax CF range. Angle: -17°, clamping diameter: 31.8 mm, weight: 199 g
Handlebar
Canyon HB0053 Triathlon Basebar
Aerodynamically optimsed triathlon handlebar with direct mount spacer system featuring the Aeria Ultimate Race Bracket by Profile Design.
Type: Flat
Basebar Rise: 0 mm
It is too narrow the gap between the bars. So the bottle doesn’t fit in very well, and it puts pressure to the bars sideways
I do have zip extensions.

You’re going to struggle to fit anything with your pads that narrow
You may need to buy a BTA mount like the HC mount and get some risers to lift the bottle cage above the armrests
.
Another option is that you can replace the existing stem with a profile aeria ultimate, or 1/Seventeen with the aeria faceplate. Then you can use the profile aeria hydration system that attaches to the stem. You’ll still want to check the width to make sure the bottle will fit, but nothing attaches directly to the extensions.
did you end up making something work? I just got the same bike and also bought the FC35 from canyon thinking - you know, they’re selling it for the Speedmax, it must fit… but it doesn’t. Any recommendations?
Aside from the fact there is a specific warning against using the faceplate on the Canyon stem on the PD site, the CF7 comes with subsonic aerobar brackets that are too narrow for the HSF Aeria bottle.
Hmmmm… didn’t know about that warning, and I’m using this. The PD warning implies that the HSF Aeria is not compatible on any Speedmax CF since 2016. Does anybody know of any other solution so that the Aeria can be used on a Speedmax CF 7?
