why do people put an apostrophy after pc when making it plural?
Probably for similar reasons that they spell apostrophe with a y instead of (correctly) with an e.
This is funny stuff.
I notice alot of people spelling lose (as in not to win) loose. And vice versa. Weird.
That’s actually correct English to use an apostraphe to pluralize abbreviations and acronyms like “PC.” It’s a sort of extraction plural than the true plural form of the word (“power cranks” would still be “PC” so you pull out the “-'s” to define it as plural). It’s a horse apiece in modern writing, but it’s “supposed” to be there. Whatever floats your boat.
Measles. (Just felt like saying something a little rash).
Suffice it to say that atrocious spelling and grammar run rampant in most e-forums. As long as I can decipher what the person is trying to say I’ve learned to overlook the little stuff. On the other hand, words and punctuation mean things. Their correct use ensures accurate conveyance of one’s idea.
apostrophe (s)
difficult to spell and i never have the faintest idea when to use them.
loose them. or is that lose them…?
