Hubs... White Industries T11 or DT240S?

Which would you rather have???

Trying to decide on a wheelset…

No one??? Geez…

i have a couple of the white eno hubs and have used them for years. I like them, but one thing you might wish to check is what is involved in taking the bearings out and if a special tool that you have to buy from them is required. On mine, I end up [aying a shop to rebuild them because they are a little tricky, but they are sort of a specialty hub.

If it were me I’d get Dura Ace, they are wonderful hubs that are easy to service, they are some of the only remaining hubs to use cup and cone bearings. One thing I’m not crazy about is the titanium freehub body on those, I had an older one fail after years of use and found the replacement part was over $150, so I ended up having to toss the whole wheel.

I have 10 year old DA hubs that have been laced into a half dozen wheels that I use for road and cyclocross in all conditions and they work great

I’m likely going to buy a used set of Enve 6.7’s… one set has DT240S… and the other has the WI T11’s. Which of the two do you think?

the WI don’t look too bad to service, here’s directions

they have a ti hub body which tends to wear faster on the splines, it’s a stupid idea, but what do I know. It looks like the dt uses a standard shimano or sram freehub body, which is a plus.

I tried to google a white freehub body for price but did not see one listed. It would stink if you snapped a pawl and had to wait for weeks, you might want to talk with your shop about hub and axle parts for those two brands, in general the bearings are standard and easy to get.

I ha a boutique hub once and needed spare parts and they just said “no” they were not going to produce any for weeks, so I was out of luck.

you can’t go wrong with either, I guess if it was me I’d get the DT
.

Thanks for your thoughtful response… much appreciated.
