How to store a carbon bike

What’s the best way to store a carbon bike?

I’ve got wall hooks right now, the kind that go underneath the top tube (there are 2 hooks) but I remember reading somewhere that one shouldn’t clamp their carbon frame on the top tube. need I worry about resting it on the hooks? If so, what kind of storage should I look into?

Thanks.

it’ll be fine…

Please tell me that you are kidding or at least drunk posting.

How again do I make flat cola?

it should be ridden at all times, never stored!

no no no…you don’t get it. the hokey pokey is what it’s all about. that’s how the song goes…that’s what it’s all about!

i’ve been trying to figure that one out for years. if only someone could start a thread so we can get some good recipes for making flat cola…

Step one: Hang bike on some sort of hook - preferably one that won’t scratch the finish. You may hang it by the top tube, the rear wheel, or even gasp the front wheel. Alternately, you can lean it against something. Or you can disassemble it completely and lovingly clean every piece.

Step two: Go drink a few beers. Post on ST. Watch some TV or something. Sleep. Go to work.

Step three: Ride bike.

Step four: Repeat.

I feel better already

Yeah, lots of people forget about the beers part.

Seriously, gravity doesn’t pose much of a threat to your top tube on hooks. If you’re talking about a repair stand or a bike rack that clamps your top tube, though, you’ve got to be careful (or better yet, avoid it).

So what would I do in that situation?
