I’ve seen a few people selling stuff mention that they don’t know how to upload a pic. Here’s how:

  1. First you need to upload your pic to a free image hosting service. You can use any of them, but in this example I’ll show you how to use tinypic.com. Go to tinypic.com, click Browse, find the pic you want to upload, and then click Upload Now.

2) Once you’ve done that, you’ll be given a few links that you can copy. The link we’ll want to copy is the one titled “Direct Link for Layouts”.

3) Once you’ve done that, go to SlowTwitch and make your post. When you’re ready to insert your picture into the post, click the little button at the top that looks like a picture frame.

Paste the link and click OK. You’re done.

Somebody tell me why the link from tinypic doesn’t paste into the body of messages and, therefore, the image doesn’t display!?

had this problem too at first. Couldn’t copy/paste link. I just typed it into the url box that pops up and it worked fine for me.

for those of us who use google chrome, once you’ve obtained the direct url to the picture, toss it into the ‘img’ tag:

Great post.

Question: How do I post a classified ad? I have tried Safari, Firefox and IE and still cannot get the “Post Item” button to work. If you can point me to a tech support contact, I’d be very thankful.

If you are using Safari you need to use the IMG Code not the Direct Link for Layouts.

How do you downsize the picture through tinypic so its not so big when I post a picture on here? Do i do that through tinypic or a setting on ST when I’m posting?

Use the “Resize” option on TinyPic. Change it from “Default” to “Message Board”.

Whenever I hit “Upload” everything just freezes up. Any suggestions?
