Tuesday I TT’ed my way to my own personal record just to see if I was close to good form for today’s 40k TT. I’m trying to defend our states 35+ rider of the year and this TT is important . I leave without my shoes and just decide to head for home as it’s a long way and I’m already kind of late. As for life, it’s a small thing, but my disorganization is killing my life and I think I’m ADD. My business is in the tank, I had to sell my most prized material possesion (my Ducati race bike), and only really feel bad as the shoes and the bike are just a symptom of everyday life. This is funny and sad. My kids wanted waffles today and I couldn’t make them. I made a waffle about 4 months ago and discovered I never ate it, it was still in the waffle maker and the now defunct waffle’s mold destroyed the interior of the waffle maker. Hope I don’t find the shoes in the waffle maker some day.
It’s cool man. Focus on what’s important and let the rest go.
Hey, you still have your kids, since you didn’t put them in the waffle iron! Ask them if they think you are a failure, I bet they love you and look up to you just as much as they ever did. Now, THAT’S the important things to remember, right?
If this constitutes messing up your life, you have to take some lessons on how to do it right. Funny, there is always another race and they have 247 waffle irons over at Best Buy for $17.53 or less.
Trade you those problems for some of mine if you want.
No trading, these are only the easy ones to poke fun at. We all have a tough row to hoe.
I accept the fact that before every important event something goes wrong. Past examples include missing equipment, blown valves, course changes, etc. Knowing now it will happen, I resolve it as quickly as it happens and move on. Some of my best performances have been in the face of complete chaos…
