How to implement extended training wks?

I have been trying to get out of the rut of training by the calendar week in order to aid in recovery between BT workouts. My focus this yr is on Half IM’s, but I have quite a few sprint/C priority races coming up. I would like to know what some of you guys are doing in order to continue to get your volume during weeks that you have C races. I have been in the habit of doing my long bike/long run on sat and sun, which obviously won’t work on race weeks. Any suggestions?

Do your long run mid week - you should be doing that anyway.

Consider riding in the PM after the sprint race. And don’t rest the day before it; you can get a normal volume day on that day.Some long bike hours and a swim at least.
