How much would you pay for a 2002 Giant OCR 1?

One of my friends did her first tri on a mountain bike and wants to trade up to a road bike.

This bike is on ebay.

2002 GIANT Compact Frame Road Bike

This is a TRUE Compact Frame design - Racing Bike we acquired as a trade in. With less than 50 miles of usage! It’s like NEW. Designed in the USA built in Taiwan.

There is no wear on the bike to speak of. The owner bought the bike and after fifty miles of riding decided she really wanted a hybrid. There are no marks on the braking surfaces or wear on the gears. Just minor nicks in a couple of decals and minor scratches on the STI levers. There are no crash marks! I think the bike saw more action in the garage being moved, than actually ridden. I did the one month tune up and checked to make sure the bike was ready for the next rider. I even added a water bottle cage. It’s ready to ride and it works perfectly!

This is a great Upgrade Road Bike with an adjustable stem, if you want to change to a more comfortable seating position. With the complete Shimano 105 Groupo, Mavic Rims and Carbon Fork, it’s ready to fly!

MSRP was $1,075. At the price offered, this bike is a steal! And there’s No Reserve…

OCR 1, in Black and Race Red. The 45cm frame is the Small size.

Check their website: www.giant-bicycles.com for more details.

This race-ready rocket is an incredible value. For Fast training or Club racing or your first Pace-Line ride and beyond, this is a great way to make the jump to a faster racing bike.

How high do you think she should go?

I told her like $520…essentially her entire budget is $600.
