How much do you sleep (during training)

Now that people are starting to pick up their training programs…whats the average you are sleeping…whats enough if there is an amount?

7.5 hrs a night

I typically get between 7-8.5.

4 to 6 hours and hopefully a hour afternoon nap.

Most weeknights I get about 6-6.5 hours. One weekday I’m usually at about 4 hours. But, I try to sleep in on either Saturday or Sunday…10+ hours if at all possible.

Sleeping during training could be dangerous…you could drown, or crash if you’re riding…a bit like sleeping at the wheel of your car.

I get an even spread of 4 to 7 hrs a night during a typical week…once every 2 or 3 weeks I might get a sleep-in, say 10hrs.

Holy crap. I think I would shoot myself if I only had 12 hours a day to do things lol

I try to get 9-9.5 when training. When not training it’s more like 7.5-8. I’m of the opinion that if you trained for 2 hours, did other stuff, then slept for 4 hours, you basically threw that 2 hours of training out the window. Sleep is necessary to let your body take advantage of the training stress.

9 hours and a 30min-1hr nap most days
