How much do you pay for Masters Swimming?

I was just curious what everybody pays for Masters Swimming and where you’re located.

190 for the winter season (november 15th-may 15th) and about 100 for the summer season (june-september). Our team is in Naperville, IL and we practice at a Fitness center.

Eric

I pay $4 a visit. In Santa Clarita, CA. It is a great group at 5:30 a.m. MWF at the aquatic center. You buy a 15 visit card.

Michael

$120 for the first half of the year (Sept-Dec) and $100 for Jan. to Apr. There are three evening swims (Mon., Tues and Thurs), two early morning swims (Tues and Thurs) and one Sat am swim. Members can attend them all if they want.

6$ per visit. Solana Beach swim masters. You can also buy a monthly pass for 60$

Mark

$35/month, all year round…kj
.

$180/year + $4/visit
.

Student so: $25 a month with yearly $50 “boosters” fee to benefit the university swim team

Non students pay: $40 a month with yearly $100 fee

if you don’t pay the yearly fee it’s $40/month for students, $60/month for everyone else

or $5 drop in per visit
.

$60 for the season - plus a few of the locals are nationally ranked and a couple in the masters world championships - one a former IM Pro who swam LOW LOW 40’s at 30…and still can at 50…

3.50 Canadian. That includes pool entry…

$40 a month for unlimited sessions (they offer 2 a day on weekdays, 6am and noon, then one Saturday mornings at 8) or $4 a visit. If you just pay the drop in rate and go over 10 visits a month, they stop charging you on the 11th visit since they track everyone that comes in.

Carlsbad (CA) Masters http://www.kimberlygross.com/Nav.aspx/Page=%2FPageManager%2FDefault.aspx%2FPageID%3D468286

you never know who is going to be there, usually Michillie Jones and a few other pro’s are hanging out on a regular basis. Same with the Solona Beach Masters down the road.

150$/year, in Hamburg, Germany.

$59/month, but includes a world class fitness/gym facility, too. http://www.macwellness.com/

Wow, these answers are proving what I suspected…that it’s an absolute rip-off where I live. I live in Evanston, IL and there are two options here. The first is the Evanston Masters which is $350 for the winter season (October to May) or the Northwestern University Masters which is $200 for a 4 month session. Seeing as RocketDogEJ is paying $160 less for almost the same season and he’s only about 30 miles away and also a suburb of Chicago, it’s really frustrating. I badly need some swim instruction, but finances are limited. Any ideas or recommendations?

$160 for 2 days a week; $210 for 3 days a week; $250 for 4 days a week, all for 4 months at the LCM Vancouver Aquatic Centre. I’ll never go back to short course again

I am paying $150 for Masters in the Chicago Suburbs as well – From October thru May. So, yes, your Masters is very expensive…What about checking out the City programs…I know there are a ton there. There are also other Master teams on the North side of the city - just check out other local programs. I think swimming with a Masters team is very important for Tri training…especially short course racing. Good luck!

< 30USD / month, swim as much as you want.

But I live in the 3rd world.

$300/season. Sept-Dec, Jan-May AND you must be a Y member, and adult membership is $500/year.

Gets you 3 workouts a week. I joined last year and rec’d NO coaching what so ever. Only good part of going was my lane mates were faster then me so I worked hard.

To me, that’s a rip off.

let me rephrase the prices, I pay what I do because I’m a member of the health club. If you aren’t it’s 220 for the winter. I think we have about 3-4 practices/day Monday through Friday , two on Saturday and one on Sunday.

I pay $150 CDN for 1 hour and a half swim per week. It’s a better deal to swim more, but i swim at noon w/ the Y masters on my Y membership and swim with other masters on sunday only.

Sounds like your options are pretty pricey. Good Luck!

Rick.
