Just looking for the basic tune-up cost? thanks.
60… wish I knew bike care
$0-$10, but I ride with the shop owner 3-4 times a week.
Most shops charge start somewhere between $30-50 and go from there… But “basic” can mean a few different things. For that lowest level of tune you’re getting adjustments to your brakes & dérailleurs, and a light cleaning/shot of lube. Parts will almost always be extra, and nothing’s getting stripped/repacked/overhauled. Just drivetrain & brakes checked over and adjusted so that they work as well as the parts will allow.
Nothing, do the basic stuff myself…lots of info on-line (especially the “park tool” website) , and the cost of most “special” tools that you need are about the cost of a single basic service in my LBS…$50.
My LBS does a “basic bike maintenance” free evening class a couple of times a year, just running over what you should do, ask around maybe a store near you does this.
Having said that, I always let my local Pro Wrench, give my race bike the once over prior to a “A or B” race
Bought my wrench buddy breakfast for my tune up before IMMT.
our shop rates:
$30 for drivetrain adjust / clean / lube
$45 for a tune
$90 for complete overhaul (cables, pads, etc)
.
$0 its not rocket surgery.
A basic tune up is, well, basic. It is something anybody can do for themselves with a copy of Zinn hanging around.
There will be an investment in tools, but that is money well spent.

Zero dollars, tune ups are easy. Hell, building a bike is easy.
Whats rocket surgery?
Whats rocket surgery?
I think it what you are allowed to do after you have mastered “brain science”
.
Bike maintenance is about 2G’s-flat
No need to worry, my mechanic handles that.
Got two arm rests on my aerobars with a cushion
Bike all day in my time trial position
Blowing up like you thought I would
Didn’t eat or drink anything like I thought should
It’s still all good…
If you don’t know, now you know…
