I’m finally getting around to fixing my fit issues with my TT bike. To that end, I am interested in putting on new aero bars. I’m very interested in the HED offerings. I am curious, however, how much you can raise the the pads/extensions over the base bar? From the webpage, it looks like they are flat with the base bar. The 3T offerings look like you can put in a small riser kit, if needed. I may need a little bit of extra stack height, so ideally I’d like to keep the bars as low as possible and raise the pads/extensions just a bit. I am trying to remove the spacers that I have on my stem (my frame is a P3C).
The extensions are in line with the base bar, though they can be rotated to point up or down. There are riser kits for the pads:http://www.wiggle.co.uk/hed-riser-kits/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=base&utm_campaign=us&utm_content=HED-HED_Riser_Kits-Black
Thanks. Is it a good idea to use the riser kit? It seems odd to angle the bars up. In the 3T it looks like you can raise the extensions as well. Is there another bar I should consider? I heard the 3T bars flex a lot, which is why I’d like to stay away from them.

How much lift are you looking for the extensions? A few cm isn’t going to be much of a problem. Lots of folks do it; example:

Between 1-2cm. I guess that is fine looking at that picture! Thanks.
You can also look at the profile T2 bars. They sit above the basebar, so are about 2cm higher up than the HEDs.

These are probably the most adjustable bars out there, but weigh about 100g more than the HEDs
