Does anybody know how many people race under an elite license from USAT? And how many new ones are issued each year?
Just curious,

USAT just made it a bit harder to get your pro card. You need to finish top 8 and within 8% of the winners time in a race with more than 500 finishers. It used to be top 10 with 10% of the winners time in a race with 250 finishers…Don’t forget if pros race the same course, count them in those finishers. Not sure on the numbers of cards, but these standards will probably weed out some people who were on the fence.
Wow. I’d seen the current requirements, but I had no idea they had changed so much. What was the reason for the change?

and you have to do it three times in a 12 month period. Time to seperate the the men from the boys so to speak. There is also talk about having to requalify every year or every other year. Not sure if that was discussed at the last board meeting or not, but it will be at future board meetings.
