I just started to run again last week after 7 months of 0.00 running miles/week due to injury. My longest run has been 30 minutes, and my goal is to get back to where I was pre-injury; 15 miler as a long run.
it depends 100% on your base.
Unless your an experienced runner go with the 10% p/w increase for mpw and long run distance
2 hours and 15 minutes.
hahaha…smart a$$

That. Your untrained pace could be 8 min/mile, or it could be 10 min/mile.
Why don’t you go out for a run and find out?
BTW, you should ease into running. Run shorter distances several times a week. If that works out then look into running longer.
You did not provide enough information. Age and pre-injury base are all factors.
The short answer for us mere mortals is: TAKE YOUR TIME. It’s better to extend the time to reach your goal than it is to risk injury and find yourself sitting on the couch. I know from experience

Yeah he’s guessing… as you well knew we had no other answer but a guess. So why/what are you asking exactly? This question has no answer.
what base? 7 months of no running. If you ask for how long I have been running, then it would be for about 15 years. Tons of cycling miles though.
42
.
42
Right answer, but to a different -and bigger- question.
You have to carry the 1 and factor in the 7mph wind coming out of the N/NE… the correct answer is 42/niner.
I am age 42, was running 45 m/w and no previous injury.
I am age 42, was running 45 m/w and no previous injury.
for how long

for how long
long enough to get injured?
.
4 months
.
What kind of injury?
The four months above looks like a pretty good number.
Assuming 30 minutes is your long run now, and assuming you stick to the +10%/week guideline, that gives (Week and Time):
00 0:30:00
01 0:33:00
02 0:36:18
03 0:39:56
04 0:43:55
05 0:48:19
06 0:53:09
07 0:58:28
08 1:04:18
09 1:10:44
10 1:17:49
11 1:25:36
12 1:34:09
13 1:43:34
14 1:53:55
15 2:05:19
16 2:17:51
17 2:31:38
It will depend on a variety of factors. Here’s my log from a few years ago. This was after a very serious plantar facia injury that had me laid up for about 7 months. Prior to it I was running about 50 mpw and was in my mid 30s at the time:
It took me about 6 months. In contrast, when I was in college it would take me about 10 weeks under similar circumstances.
