How long will glue last on a tubular?

Sorry if this has been addressed before, I didn’t come across it in a search…

How long will the glue last on my tubular tires? I have carbon wheels that I only use for racing and time trials, so I probably only put a few hundred miles per year on them. I used three coats of glue and waited hours between coats. I glued them last year and checked them this spring, the tires were still firmly attached. Thanks in advance for any advice.

I can’t answer this question. I get a full season on my tubulars on my road bike with no problems and that will include three regular fast roadie group rides per week as well as a century or two during the heat of the summer.

However, after watching Beloki lose his tubular at the TDF I’d have to think that regular maintenance would be a good idea if using carbon rims and tubulars while road racing. Apparently they heat up faster and melt the glue under extreme braking conditions
