Looking for good ideas to store a few bikes indoor, preferably on the wall.
I have looked around at LBS’s and online and don’t find any great indoor wall mounts.
I have concrete ceilings, so hanging from the ceiling is not my preference.
It’d be great to find something I could mount into studs and then store two bikes horizontally one on top another.
Just leaving them leaning against the wall or on stands or trainers is taking up too much room.
I love this rack becasue you do not need to permanently mount it. The only problem is that it cannot quite hold 2 61 cm bikes, but it should accommodate two of any other size.
Everyone else clearly has their priorities screwed up.
The tri bike should be in the bed with yourself + significant other. Often, however, this action ends up in the permanent exiting of the latter, thus making room for your roadie/CX bike (depending on season).
Go to the local hardware store and buy a few big hooks. The hooks have plastic on them to protect the wheel. Screw the hook clean into a stud. Hang the bike from the hook by either the rear wheel or the front wheel. I have 4 bikes hanging in my office from these hooks.

A solid plan. At first, I was upset at Penny the P3C for leaving grease on my comforter, until I realized it was vastly superior to my girlfriend leaving her hair all over my pillows. For obvious reasons, I no longer have to deal with the hair.
I bought the Swagman Hang It Bike Hanger off of amazon because it was the cheapest one that looked to be halfway decent.
I was really surprised by the quality of it! I’ve had it for 2 years, 3 different houses, and it’s been great! Hold my tri and road bikes perfectly, doesnt need any nails or screws, and doesn’t peel or take off any paint on the ceiling.
There is another thread on this somewhere, and that is where I read about this bike stand. I figured it was worth a shot and it has performed just fine for me. Easy to assemble and seems sturdy enough. I’m renting at the moment, so hooks were not an option.
