I’ve been using a little coin purse. Is there a better way?
Which sport are you talking about and what distance.
Up to half Ironman, I just use Infinit with electrolytes dialed up and add some extra table salt…then nothing on the run. At Ironman, same deal on the Infinit front (one concentrated bottle at the start, one at special needs). In T2, I just have zip loc bag with a bunch of salt tabs for the marathon.
Any distance. Running or biking. I just always seem to get wet salt tabs the way I carry them and sometimes they get sticky and messy in the coin purse.
I have a teeny pill container (I think it was for gabapentin or generic Benadryl). I also like the Fizzy tube like things but they are a bit big for them.
Those little M&M-mini containers work fine
Those salt-stick dispensers work great too.
hahaha, I actually have one of those M and M things and just hadn’t tried it yet so it’s funny that you brought it up!

Lots of options in the candy aisle. I have a similar flip top one that’s a rectangle (found it fits better in my jersey pocket). Flip tops are key, since it means that you can use it one-handed.

Fine, I don’t use salt tabs – electrolyte drinks, supplemented with electrolyte heavy gels (like Roctane), work just fine for me. I still think this would be the coolest way to carry them though…

Always found plenty of salt in my sports drinks, gels, and/or shot bloks. Never considered that I’d need more salt on top of that.
Oh- shot bloks come in Margarita flavor with 3x the salt, and Gatorade has a Pro version with lots of extra salt.
I guess I can’t imagine needing salt and not also needing some simple carb intake.
Put a piece of double sided scotch tape in top of your bar under the arm pads. Then just stick a few pills on it. Easily accessible with one hand even when aero. A couple might bounce off but most will stay put.
I use gem bags, jewelry baggies, dime bags, mini zip lock baggies. They are all called something different, but go to a Hobby Lobby, Jo Ann Fabrics, or an arts and craft store and ask them for mini zip lock baggies or gem bags or stuff like that. I found mine by the beading and jewelry making area. You can pick up like 200, 1.5"x3" bags for like $3. I put one Salt Stick in each one and stash them in a pocket. You can open them one handed pretty easily. Then you blow in it to puff up the bag so the capsule comes out easily. They stay dry even when you sweat terribly. Worked great at the Chicago Marathon for me.

I use the M&M containers as well as the containers from Mentos gum. Both work well.

I buy a bunch of those small jewelry bags (clear plastic bags I have since been told are what they sell small amounts of cocaine in), and I tape them to the top tube like I would with gu’s. Just rip the bag off and it’s already open.
On the run, I also store them in plastic bags and just store 1 pill in each bag and have one pocket specifically for salt.
