How do U curb your sweet tooth?

How do you curb that sweet tooth that creeps up every time it feels like it? It pops up whenever it feels like it and won’t go away until I’ve done some damage to my (so called), diet. I’ve tried walnuts, napping, working out, etc. but it won’t leave until I give in.

HELP!! Any advice would be appreciated.

for me easy…two plain white yoghurts…mix in a load of raw porridge (oats) then cut up an apple, banana and maybe some grapes…for me like having ice cream…

My sweet tooth is pretty specific to chocolate, and I’ve discovered that Jello makes a sugar-free, very low fat (1 gram?) chocolate pudding that tastes close enough to full fat & sugar chocolate that it fools said sweet tooth into satisfaction. About 60 calories.

What is this “curbing” you speak of?

A one pound bag of M&M’s usually does the trick.

I don’t. Just have a bit in moderation and life is good. I love chocolate and cookies and will have one or two when I feel like it. I just do not have three or four of each a day.

I do not make a living at triathlon nor do I pretend that I will ever be an elite or pro so why not live life and have a treat when you feel like it but in moderation. You work out often which puts you in a league far above most people in regards to fitness so why not have that sweet to take care of your craving and just swim, ride or run a little bit longer the next time you are out.

Triathlon is a lifestyle but not my life.

Bman… Couldn’t agree more. Cobannero…I really like those Dove mini dark chocolates. I usually have two every night after dinner. They usually do the trick. I think 2 are only about 80 calories. Good Luck!

Dark chocolate in almost any form, except for Hersheys. Hersheys is like Duke, they suck.

For a “good boy” snack, fat free jello pudding with choc protein powder, layered parfait style with lite whipped cream. yum!

Why would you want to curb it??? It’s a gift:)

There are very few sweet things I don’t like…I also say to hell with moderation. Life is short…

fat free, sugar free, all of that is nonsense. If you are going, go all out and eat the real stuff. Then get back to REAL foods

Curb it? Hell I embrace it like a lover.

Hello Cobannero and All,

I like Trader Joe’s Dark Chocolate in the red wrapper. 78% cocoa and not many calories.

Have a square or two when you crave something sweet.

Reputed to be an anti-oxidant so it does have some good properties too.

Peculiar to me however, if I eat very much (4 or 5 squares), I find I get cramps when sleeping after a hard workout.

Cheers,

Neal

Eat a candy bar you sissy. Your hips won’t balloon i promise.

dark choclate covered forzen bananas or almonds
