As you know my wife races tri’s with me . My youngest daughter decided she wanted to race crits. She joined a all womens road team and will do her first road race this sat. She called and wanted old dad to race also soooo off to the races for me. I will spend the night at her place (college) then travel to the race together. She has a QR my brother gave her with a carbon fork, dura ace, syntace. for tri’s and a Celo Europa (sp) road bike. Is she spoiled ?
Also my oldest daughter has my 2 grandsons in swim lessons because they want to race some triathlons with grandpa! 1st and 4th graders
My sister start racing tris a few years ago, but recently got married and moved to VA. My girlfriend races tris and is a crazy fast runner. We had the wonderful experience of us both winning overall at a couple races last year.
The family that rides/races together - stays together! Otherwise you end up in a custody battle over who gets which Disc wheel or his Dura Ace components are new than mine - I want his!
We are holding a kids tri for the 1st time at our center. Our town is small 20,000 but we have a lot going on. A crit, duathlon,kids tri, 6 5k’s, 2 cyclecross races, and 2 MTB races.
