What’s the best way to carry Honey Stinger Waffles on the bike during a Long course tri? They are oddly shaped and won’t fit most places.
Some folks cut them into smaller pieces and store them in a snack-sized ziplock bag.
Cut 'em in half and stand them up in a Bento box…
Of course, then you’ll have to justify why you’ve got a Bento box… just sayin’…
Nipple guards?
Indeed. I love the taste, texture, and calorie profile but form factor and packaging are all wrong. No real world user testing apparently. (i.e. a pain in the ass to open and consume while on the bike.)
Jersey pocket, 4 pocket shorts, folded in half in my bento.

Yea those European cyclists who’ve been eating stroopwaffels for decades don’t know anything.
Slice the tops off the bags and put them in a pocket (if you have pockets). I love them…

buy the stroopwafels at trader joe’s. they are smaller and come in a bag. just take a bunch out and put in jersey pocket
Open them before the ride and carry in pocket or bento box.
To start with, the best way to get this type of waffle is to buy them in a stack or tube like standard biscuits. Most grocery stores have some form of Stroopwaffle and instead of paying $2 a piece they’re about $4 for 15 or something stupid. The ones I purchased had almost the same nutritional value as the Stingers. In fact I thought they were slightly better but I can’t remember why.
Put a bunch in an open ziplock in your jersey pocket. Niiiiice. The Honey Stinger Gels give me the shits though and having spoken to some friends I am not the only one.

I’ve tried to do that so many times, but the bag’s always empty by the time I make it home from the store. I don’t know what happens.
Anyone from Australia find a way to shop those here? I miss them…
if you can find a dutch import store, i am sure they will have stroopwafels.
Well the Stinger waffles are on sale everywhere probably due to a certain individual on the packaging and perhaps Stinger has figured that the waffle packaging needs to be changed because it’s impossible to open while on riding. I just open them prior to riding and put in the jersey pockets.
In Sydney’s eastern suburbs, Norton Street grocer sell stroopwafels in packs of ten. Probably not the cheapest place to buy them but they are certainly cheaper than what Coles charges for Honeystingers.
ilovestroopwafels.com they make mini stroopwafels and you can package them as you choose.
p.s. they are amazing dipped in hot chocolate after a winter ride
Never thought to look for stroopwafels at trader joe’s… I buy the stingers by the case. Thanks for the info!
And to stay on topic, I open them before the ride and break mine into quarters
