I had a buddy whose roommate in college would drunk buy shit. It would show up two months later as a random surprise.
No, but I had a friend who sold stuff on the home shopping network in Canada. As in he was one of the on-air hosts.
He specialized in a specific product and was quite knowledgeable about it. He was also good looking and charismatic, which certainly helped. He was paid a flat rate per appearance (which was usually a few hours long) plus a bonus per unit sold and the bonus increased with more units i.e. $1 per unit for the first 1,000 and $1.10 for the next 1,000 etc.
He made a lot of very easy money at it. He said that the products being sold were made specifically for the home shopping network and weren’t quite as good as their usual offerings.
30 years ago, my wife bought some sweatshirts off HSN. To my knowledge, that was it. Now Amazon, that’s a different story.

Miracle Blade knife set; I have had them for over 20 years. They are functional, they are not miraculous.
Wife bought Henckels. They are much better.
