I have some mortal hydration but would like to add calories to it to make it more useful.
What do most people use if I want to make it around 200-250 calories? Maltodextrin?
I am bit fan of Infinite if that helps. Settles well.
Thanks

table sugar. the stuff you have in your pantry.
I add Maltodextrin and table sugar to my Gatorade powder. Equal parts for all three. Also add some sodium citrate.
Use Dr Harrison’s app:
Add sugar or other simple sugars, and sodium citrate.
I’d try adding malto. It’s not sweet, so it shouldn’t impact taste too much. Sweeteners like fructose and sucrose (in addition to the low calorie sweeteners already in Mortal) will probably make it too sweet. If you want to use these, just ditch the Mortal and go the full Dr. Harrison route mentioned above.
endorsed by many in these pages. lightheir of all people gave the more precise measurements that i usually adopt - “a scoop of sugar, a bit of salt”. i add a dash of lemon juice as i am a bit more sophisticated than light heir
Everyone’s perception of sweet is different… For me with the added sodium (chloride or citrate)… That dulls the sweetness considerably, and I don’t even use a flavorant much of the time.
Sometimes I use table sugar in a pinch but I find it takes too sweet, hurts my teeth more and is harder on my stomach. I also use table salt in a pinch but it’s too salty lol
My preferred method is malto:fructose 1:0.8 + however much sodium citrate I need for my session + a splash of lemon juice or some flavouring like Mio
