Cant say enough about my hokas since I switched over to them. Except that my insoles have started bunching up everytime i run.
Any solutions?

That’s weird. They bunch up in the front? You could replace the insoles. Or use a little spray glue.

No they start to move rearward and bunch behind my heal
i have custom orthotics in my hokas. but a more robust aftermarket semi-custom footbed would solve the problem. like superfeet. and might provide you more support, betraying my bias: i don’t think support is a dirty word.
I have run several thousand miles in about 10 different pairs of Hokas and I have never encountered this problem.

First time Hoka user with the Clifton. With the curved insole in the shoe, I also found the insole sliding backwards and riding up my heel, one foot worse than the other. Rather annoying, and an Internet search revealed similar complaints. I finally ditched the curve insole for the extra flat insole provided, and this seems to have solved things. Guess it’s not a problem for everyone, but it was plain annoying and not sure yet if I like Hokas yet or not
I had the same issue. Emailed Hoka and they sent a new insole that works perfectly. Great customer service.

Oddly ive only had this happen in my Huakas, not in my Cliftons, Tarmacs or Bondi’s. I replaced the insole with Sofsole Athlete max cushion, med arch insoles. A little thicker than the Hoka insert but works fine and it solved the problem.

Same here in my cliftons, but only in the right shoe. Hoka sent me two new ones and said they will be adding light glue to new shoes to hold them in place.
X3 on the Superfeet. Cleared it right up.

Yep…happened with my cliftons both thin insoles bunching to the rear. It’s a design flaw and Hoka will make it right.
I tried this insole with the Huaka and the shoe weighed 11.5oz. Better off running in the Bondi B 4 at 10.5oz.

Well you shouldn’t really need to buy anything to solve an issue that should never really exist I do love the Superfeet insoles.
you’re right, of course. but i’m not trying to solve the world’s problems, just answer this particular fellow’s question for his own sole problem. no pun intended.
I had this problem with my cliftons. I pulled out the insoles and realized they came upside down. Since I’ve flipped them, there have been no problems.
I have two pair of Stinson’s and a Bondi 3 with no problems. My Cliftons bunched in the rear on the 2nd or 3rd wearing too.
Interesting I didnt notice the extra weight when running but definitely something to consider. I havent tried the new Bondi 4 but heard its really good. I like the feel of the Huaka not quite as squishy as the Bondi 4 even with the Sofsole insole. There are probably lighter insoles that would serve the same purpose (not bunching) anyway I hope it works out for you!

Happened to me too, actually currently running with Clifton’s with bunched up/partially destroyed insoles…I guess I’m just lazy
