Hoboken,NJ

I am helping a friend, a runner, who is considering doing tri’s. he is concerned about biking. I told him to look into tri clubs around the area. I was wondering if anyone from Hoboken has input (he doesnt mind driving to bike) on where to go ride where it’s somewhat safe and flat and not too far. Input on clubs would be nice too:-)

gold coast tri club is based out of Hoboken. They have organized bikes, runs, and masters swimming at Stevens pool.

Thanks! His family lives in Allentown so he is checking into that too.

Sandy hookers based out of longbranch is a groovy club. Just do a google search for them. They hold tri’s, group race and training rides all spring, summer and fall long. BTW, I have a 11 year old daughter isnt marisol a american girl doll? I know sad that I know that. LOL

I have no idea! i dont know anything about the american dolls, I grew up in Canada:-) Marisol is my middle name

I work in the Allentown area. Not sure about Tri groups, but there are plenty of rides to do in the area. Also, Cedar Crest college has the Rodale pool for swimming.

Ride up to Weehawken, get onto River Road which leads into Fort Lee and puts you onto Hudson Terrace. You’ll go under the GW bridge where tons of cyclists from NYC dump off and head up to 9W. 9W goes all the way up and has tons of hills and a nice ride is to the top of Bear Mountain. Great place for riding.
