High waisted tri-shorts

I just ordered a pair of Louis Garneau tri shorts (mens), and they come up what I think is way too high. They are up past my belly button (its almost like wearing a bib). Has anyone used these or a short that was high waisted and what did you think? Comfortable or not??
Maybe I am just used to my old ones (sugoi) that are like a swimming trunk height.
Thanks any info

It’s the new fashion trend now. Low rise are on the way out and the 80s are coming back in. Bummer (except for the 80s hair, that desperately needs to make a comeback).

I’ve not tried the new high-waisted anything but am confident it would drive me batty.

Long live the DeSoto low-rise shorts!

If Emilio ever stops making those, I will quit triathlons. This high-waisted stuff is ridiculous.

Hi rise? Pass.

Unless they just changed the way they are made I have a few different types of LG shorts and they come just above my hips like normal. I am a very standard medium guy size (5’ 10" 150 lbs).

In my experience, cycling shorts are cut higher than Tri shorts which are higher than jammers. Which only matters if you are attempting to pull up your jammers as high as your cycling shorts (it’s OK, I’ve hot it figured out now :)).

I do have a pair of cycling shorts that are right at the belly-button line and I have to slide them down (or up when riding) or I’ll get irritation and a chaffed BB.

Which model do you have? Judging by the photos they have on their website, they all look similar in size (crotch to top of waist band).

These are what I use right now. But then again people are all of different proportions I guess.

Funny, I just ordered two pairs of the Desoto low-rise shorts from Swimoutlet.com last night.

Being a size small a lot of the new stuff comes up to my ribs and is unusable.
