What would help your 2010 season more, please see images below. Cost for each for the 2010 season is about the same - one would last much much longer for a higher ROI…guess what one that would be.
And yes, you should know who they are and you I bet do know who they are. That is Paul Huddle and Roch Frey.
I’m ashamed that I didn’t recognize them. Need to spend more time on facial recognition of top coaches. Damn it! One more thing I’m doing wrong…
If they make that much coaching then they really need to buy new ties. I remember clicking on their website one time and nearly choking when I saw how much they charge. I’ll just stick with mooching coaching advice off desert dude.
I bet the sage advice and the indelible memories of a year spent with Roch & Paul would last a lifetime, long after the over-priced bit of soon-to-be obsolete technology was a garage ornament collecting dust.
They don’t cost the same… You can sell the wheel at the end of the year.
If the coaches TEACH you, then you carry forward valuable lessons for the future which is a good ROI. If they simply provide a training plan, then buy the wheel. I BELIEVE Roch and Paul TEACH athletes so they would be a good investment. The answer may be different with other coaches.
Depends… will they come with me to races and stand around with me in T1 pre-race so I can idly polish them and pose next to them wearing my compression socks and visor?
And will they ride along beside me during the bike leg making ‘WHOOSH… WHOOSH… WHOOSH’ noises?

I’d go with the coaching.
Yes, Multisports.com and many many other teach…that being said, I would rather pay $300 for a “how to” book than an aero bar if I was that green. Then again, I would never sign up for an Ironman if I was not ready. This coming from a person who’s first five Triathlons were all Iron distance and all well under the (for some stupid reason) magical 12 hour “barrier”…I mean really…12 hour barrier? (that 12 hour stuff is not a direct reply to you)
