Hey, that's me. I'm on Slowtwitch!

I got my picture on Slowtwitch! Good times! I was at the Lucero cotillion at Mission Bay. In the crowd picture I’m the guy on the right w/ short brown hair and blue coat.

I didn’t follow the tread here, but I must say it was fun at MB. Thanks to Val, Bill, Mark and Brad.

In person this bike is very pretty. Even next to the other bike porn (MB has R2.5, P3SL, Kestral Airfiol, etc. in stock) the Lucero stands out.

I asked a few questions about the Lucero, the bike industry, the construction of ABG carbon fiber, the competition. Mark and Brad answered these frankly and honestly. Good thing they have Herbert b/c these two aren’t salesmen at heart. They presented a bike they are passionate about and you could tell.

I have seen the bike before at IMFL and the Bike Shop in Glen Ellyn IL. But those were first run models. The finished product is very nice. The outer carbon weave is beautiful. Really.

Not having ridden one yet my complaints are thus. The Vision bar extensions aren’t carbon. You’d think when spending this much on a carbon frame you’d spec the carbon extensions. Secondly, I am not sold on the wheels. They’re OK, not bad. But again if you’re buying a bike this caliber you’ll probably opt for Hed or Zipps anyway.

If any one cares I’d be happy to answer questions about the cotillion from my point of view.

Eddy,
I am glad you had a good time at the unveiling of the Lucero, and hopefully you had a chance to chat with Mark and/or Brad. They are very knowledgeable indeed and as you had pointed out, they are very passionate about what we do. We are actually all very passionate about what we do and hopefully that shows in the products.
Cheers,
Herbert

FYI, I am not in sales either, just a marketing mouth.
