not sure exactly what you are asking, but if you are wondering if there are any triathlons in Mississippi, some of the best races I have ever done are in Mississippi.

Well, I too am not quite sure what you’re asking but I’ll try to answer.
Is there triathlon tradition in MS? Yes. The Heart of Dixie, which Mike Plumb has won several times, stakes claim as the longest consecutively run triathlon in the continental US.
Is there an active, growing tri community in MS? Most definitely.
Are there Mississippians who live and breathe triathlon, are consumed by it, and spend too much time reading this message board? Ask my wife.
Yes. Perhaps not the most vibrant tri scene, but it’s alive and well.
Before we moved here from NC, my wife and I took a long look at climbing opportunities. In NC, it was two hours to decent climbing, four hours to great climbing. Here in north-central MS, it’s just a little further. The tri scene is roughly the same. You might have to drive a little further to races, but there are plenty of races. And the season is a little longer.
