Help on cycle trainer

Hi All, I am looking to purchase a trainer, I have narrowed down to 3 options, can anybody help on which is the best choice. I noticed one of them has a resistance selector you put on the handlebar while the others are said to adjust automatically?

The 3 contenders are:

Cycle Ops Fluid -
Kinetic -
Tacx Satori - has the adjustment selector you put on the handlebar.

I appreciate all your input!,

I have the Kurt Kinetic. I like it. Feels like the road and is simple to attach and detach. I’ve heard mixed reviews of the Cyclops as far as leaking. You don’t need to change resistance with a switch, that’s what you have a cassete and chainrings for–an extra lever is just something else to break. Check with RA cycles and see if their special pricing is still happening.

I have a Kirt Kinetic and have been very happy. Purchased after a good bit of research - other brands are more inclinded to leak on the fluid trainers.

Feel I should chime in to support the cycleops. Apparently the seals were reworked at one time, so leaking has never been a problem. Just looked at the trainer bike’s computer the other day, so I can say that I’ve put over 2500 miles on my Cycleops Fluid with no leaking.

The Kurt Kinetic is supposed to be good as well, but I would go with a fluid style over a magnetic any day.

Thanks, good input so far. The guy at the shop told me that the TacX is the best as its the official trainer of X and Y team and used in TDF, I kinda found it nice as it is very slim and can fold quite nicely under the bed, whereas the Kinetic seems a lot heavier and bulkier to be lying around in my living room (where my bike is parked!). However so far the votes seem to be going for the Kinetic…

Checkout the Blackburn Trakstand Ultra. Super quiet, uses a ball bearing friciton design. No magnets, no fluid. Folds up as well.

I’d second the Track Stand Ultra. I’ve had one for a year now and it is flawless.

Go with the Kurt Kinetic. It’s the best damned trainer on the market, barring perhaps a computrainer.

I'll third the Track Stand Ultra.

NO complaints, nothing to leak, quiet, folds up to almost flat, & a nice feel while peddling.
