Help needed! Cervelo R5CA and cranksets

Hi all,

Wondering if one of the knowledgeable ST’ers with Cervelo experience can help out a friend of mine with some advice.

He’s recently got an R5ca frame and is having a heap of trouble with the local bike shops here in Australia getting the right parts to fit the Rotor crankset he has to it.

I’ve told him as I understand he can use a SRAM S900 or S975 powermeter crank that is BB30 and it should fit right up. I’m basing that of this.

Am I missing something? He’s gagging to get this thing up and running so he can get out on it, however none of the local Rotor or Cervelo dealers have the part he needs for the existing Rotor crank he has.

Is the easiest step for him to bin it and go for a BB30 SRAM S900/S975 crank?

Any help or insights from personal experience would be appreciated!

Have your friend email cameron((@))rotorbikeusa((.))com to see if he can help out. I’m sure Kervin will be a long shortly as well.
