I’ve decided to spend my Hanukkah money on the ultimate running kit to replace the hodge-podge of clothes I’m currently loaded down with when running.
Ultimate-
the fewest articles of clothing providing the maximum protection for all parts of my body from snow, rain, wind, and bitter cold.
This doesn’t include shoes, but everything else is on the table.

I use the same tights/layers (just less of them) that I do on the bike. I have found my PI arm warmers work great.
UnderArmour winter gear makes for a great base layer - especially the mock turtles. I agree that Brooks makes some of the best winter running kit - including their gloves. I use UnderArmour or Cw-X tights, as they seem to do pretty well even when they get wet (a normal condition in long runs during New England winters).

I love my under armour cold gear, too. I wear their tights, mock turtle and a fleece vest over the top. Perfect for temps >30.
