I’m finally updating to a better wetsuit.
any thoughts on Profile Design M:2 vs Xterra Vortex Pro
I can get a decent deal on both hence…
any real help/suggestions would be much appreciated.
I’m not a super fast swimmer. thanks

This is all based on my personal and biased preferences. I used to work with TYR and helped launch the Hurricane line in Colorado so that’s where I really want to point you but if you can get a deal on ProDesign or Xterra I’d go with ProDesign. Xterra does make some pretty good suits and I’ve owned both brands. I liked the fit and feel of the Profile better, also, the reverse zipper was a hit for me at Ironman AZ. It’s a touch tough to get in but lets be honest, it could take me an hour to get in my suit, what’s important is that it only take me seconds to get out. I also felt that the shoulders have more room for movement. The suit didn’t feel like a form cut, panel suit, like I felt in my Vortex. Now, that doesn’t mean that Xterra hasn’t advanced it’s technology. I’m sure they have and are making quality suits. But if I had to choose between the two of them I’d go with the Profile Design.
If you can score deals on Blue Seventy, Roka, or even 2XU, you’d be really happy with those investments. TYR also still makes a damn good suit. Hope that helps.
I love xterra. Just bought another one (sleeveless and sleeves). Great people…give em a call.
