You know, that is funny, b/c I was thinking if only my training logs that are paper could graph themselves they would be perfect.
scan them in, save as Excel docs, add graphs ![]()

I also love training peaks. The nutrition section is awesome- there’s a huge database of foods. It’s been essential for me as a vegetarian athelete because I can see exactly how much protein I take in every day.
Uploading from the Garmin is great for me and the coach. She can see that I’m staying within the prescribed HR zones.

Something based on a real database, so I can add fields at any time and sort/tabulate using a real query language instead of being constrained to the stupid proprietary crap that someone else thinks I want or need. This would also liberate the data rather than holding it hostage to the proprietary system.
ability to view and print daily, weekly, and monthly calendars. I like having different ways to view, sort, graph things.
It used to be just for running, but I convinced the developer (used to work with him) to add cycling and swimming. You can also track weights, body weight, and body fat %.
When you enter a run or a bike, there’s a combo box with your current shoes/bikes in it to choose from. It’s a really nice site, I’ve been using it for a long time now.
You can do this on training peaks you can track your bikes and shoes.

for self-coached athletes we need a place to “plan” micro and meso cycles.
Heck, just a place that would calculate weekly hours and distances when planning a week would be great! As you manipulate the week you could see how that changes the daily and weekly hours, etc.
a Monty protection mechanism so that it can be used to protect oneself in the event of vicious attacks.
Has someone mentioned “pictures of womens” yet?
first answer. just before pictures of jonnyo…

To busy to read through one page? lol

track your bike and shoes? in case you crash or someone steals your shoes?
(I actually knew that. I just wanted to reiterate…) ![]()
Yes it also puts gps on my fitness level so when i lose that i can find it too.
It lets you track mileage on shoes and mileage on your bikes.

thanks…I had figured… ![]()
its actually pretty nice. i would never keep track otherwise.

This was the first thing I thought of but I didn’t have the courage to post it. Thanks!
I’m going to start collaborating on a training log project. It needs to be designed for triathletes. What would you include?
Some things i have thought of graphs of all three sports, then a graph combining them together - maybe overkill. A place where you schedule is delivered and a spot where you enter what you have done. There will be a place for NP/AP/TSS/IF for the bike section for power users, avg pace for your run. Also time & distance for all three sports. It will be designed so that you have all your weeks easily accesable and flipping through it should be easy. It should also encompass multiple seasons since what done this year is the foundation for next year etc. Most likely will be web based and I would like to include an email function in it somehow.
What would you like to see in the ulitmate training log?
PM me after Clearwater and I’ll email you my log in Excel. I took a lot of time figuring out how to get it all in one screen, and with charts on a 2nd tab. Those who have seen it, dig it.
you might look at this:

Some features:
Export all my data to something I can keep. I believe Trainingpeaks has this.
Import HR/power/gps data from lots of devices.
Graph of HR/power/gps data.
Export/sychronize with a calendar such as Microsoft outlook, Mozilla Sunbird/Lightning, or iCal standard.
Actually one reason I use a spreadsheet is that I like to be able to see this week and the next week or two after that one one printout. Lets me easily see what is coming up and fit stuff into my schedule.
