Heel/Ankle Pain - Possible Peroneal Tendonitis?

2 miles into my run, I suddenly started feeling pain in my heel (without any known impact like twisting or rolling). It worsened over the next half mile. So, I stopped. Once back home, I took my shoe off and realized swelling behind the outer ankle and a little also behind the inner ankle. I’m icing my foot throughout the day, which gives it a little relief. It also feels best first thing in the morning. Even though this happened 3 days ago, the ankle is still swollen. As some background info, I was in a walking boot for 6 weeks, followed by 3 weeks of just walking. Over the course of the past 4 weeks, I increased my jog to 6 miles, but at a very, very slow pace.
Any advice on what I’m faced with? How can I get pain relief? What treatment will get me back to running? Also, how long might the recovery time be?

what was the reason to be in a boot to start with. right now, it show you might have progress a little too quickly… you will need to take a step back

I broke my little toe jamming it into an ottoman. It had to be reset since it was sticking out at a 90-degree angle.
