sorry in advance if this has been asked before, wondering if anyone had thoughts on Hed’s S-Bends?
just did a search and found great info. thanks.
post a recap/summary if you can. I saw a lot of jabber, but not much information.
I contacted Hed directly about a month ago. They said that once you place an order for the integrated wing/brake levers/S-bend model they will ship in about 1 month. The price they quoted me was $495 + shipping. I’m just waiting to see what Issac’s TT/wing aerobars look like before I place my order (because I just bought a Joule).

They are a lot cheaper at tri-zone, I think about 430.00 and they have them in stock
.
I doubt that is for the bars with the carbon S-bend extensions.
can you just get the extensions? and will they fix oval bars?

It seems that everyone is excited, the positioning appears to be comfortable from those that own it. I actually have the extensions, however, not the hardware/armpads; expecting shipment this week. The Bontrager aerobars that Deboom uses look great; however, I have not seen the exact replica that he and the Posties use-the ones at Interbike appeared to have a regular curved end.

carbon ~$75
alloy ~$50
I assume you can get just the extensions, but I’m not sure if they will fit Oval bars. I was actually out at the shop last week and Steve Hed had all sorts of other bars out there testing how they would fit them. I saw carbon S-Bends on a set of Profile Carbon-X bars for example. I got a set of aluminum S-Bends to put on my wife’s Carbon-Xs. I would just e-mail or call them and ask.
Thanks for the link SebBo
I have the Oval A700 bars and was thinking of putting S bends on it, but I went and looks at them and said to my self boy if I cut my bars off right at the second bend you get the same hand positions as the S bend with better access to the shifters! It looks like with the S bends you still have to reach out to shift. Just goes to show you what you think is cool some times is just the same as what you have!
