Which wheel would you put with their Disk?

macka86,

You really seem perplexed with equipment choices these days. Let me see if I can help you with a wheel choice at least.

I can’t speak about the H3D, but I did own a H3 in clincher form about a year ago. While far from a blistering cyclist, the H3 is a very nice wheel. But here is the conundrum with the H3, even though HED claims great performance at high yaw angles, these are the angles and wind conditions that make the H3 a bitch to ride in. I currently own a HED Stinger 9 FR and Stinger disc. This is an unbelievable wheel combo that I will not be selling anytime soon. The only downside to the Stinger 9 is the rim width (23mm) makes it a pain in the ass to get your brakes adjusted. However, it rides much better in windier conditions than the H3 and seems faster in all conditions overall.

I hope that helps you!

It depends on the frame, I hope you haven’t chosen the wrong one.
