i am looking for a new headset that doesnt is shorter than what i currently have below, any suggestions? i cant find any replacement spacer here. 1 1/8 headset that came with my frameset
Is that an integrated headset? If not I have had the Cane Creek S-3 on 3 seperate bikes and can recommend it. I had a 1" Chris King and it was pretty nice too. Before all that though, I’d see if FSA makes a shorter top cap/race; that’d be the easiest fix.
FSA makes a shorter topcap, but it’s a pain to find (LBS might order it tho). I actually bought a new FSA headset with the shorter cap on eBay just for the cap. It was cheaper than the carbon fiber replacement one they wanted $50 for.
yup, its an integrated one. my mechanic friend is looking for one and its been weeks so i`ve asked him to get me a new headset so i can use the top cap…my local store has the cane creek c2s in stock but must be the older 1 1/8 and might not fit my frame
