Has anyone used the Multisports.com race specific training plans

Looking for reviews of the race specific training plans at Multisports.com. I am thinking about the Lake Placid training plan. Is the $550 worth it or are their better options out there?

I used it the first time I did IMWI. Worked great. Really liked it. Actually got a phone call from Paul Huddle when I injured my hammy and was in a panic. Sent and email saying I was freaking out b/c it was only 6 weeks before the race. Paul Huddle actually called me and spoke for about 45 minutes. He talked me off the ledge. Paula (or her associate) sent an e-mail w/ suggestions to heal it up. The race was great.

Used it again for my second IMWI. Went on the higher end of the training plan. Took 90 minutes off my IM time. Again, worked great.

I think it is great plan. Highly recommend.

I used the Escape from Alcatraz program a number of years ago and was somewhat disappointed. There appeared to be a lot of cut and paste from other programs. The Alcatraz program actually said there aren’t many hills on the course.

I used their 9 week training plan for IM Florida and qualified for IM Hawaii. So yes, I was quite pleased with their training plan. Also I was able to email them with questions. They were very helpful.

I am currently using their program for Ironman Coeur D’Alane. This is the first “formal” training plan i have ever used, with each day mapped out to target different aspects of the sport. i have to say that i really like this program, especially because i’m a college student and i cant meet with a coach every day i have to work in the training into my schedule. I was skeptical about the online aspect but i had asked them a question yesterday and Paul replied today with a pretty detailed answer.

IN Short: It seems to be a great program!

Very, very good plan, and good support. They also add a bit of fun to the training, and back you off when needed. If you listen to the plan, you’ll have great success!

i used their program for my first IM…Canada 2007. my work load was crazy that year…i was only able to do the “required” workouts, i pulled out a sub 12hr race. could have done under 11:30 if my IT band didn’t act up.

so, i think they certainly know what they are doing.
