Has anyone tried CyclingCeramic?

Hi! Im thinking on upgrading my wheels bearings to ceramic, and was thinking on Ceramic Speed, basically because of the huge price different between them and Ceramic Speed.
Has anyone tried them? Are they any good?

Use Enduro Bearings instead. Ceramic Speed is overpriced. Enduro is as good or better than Ceramic Speed and manufactured in California.

CyclingCeramic is just a copycat of Ceramic Speed and they got sued by Ceramic Speed for it.

Hi! Thanks for your answer! Just checked them but I realized those are not coated. Does it matter?

Welcome to the Ceramic Speed marketing stunt.

The races are coated because they are trying to make them harder. All Ceramic Bearings are hybrid systems of ceramic balls and steel races. Ceramic is harder than steel and can over time destroy steel races. The coatings make them harder. Can the coating be ripped off from a ceramic ball and debris? I don’t know.

Enduros XD-15 system is XD-15 nitrogen infused steel with ceramic bearings. XD-15 is used in jet engines. This is a much better system than “coated” races.

You would never be able to tell the difference on a bike and Ceramic Speed made $100 more off you for it.

All bearings have an ABEC rating. There is nothing really that special between the top brands. Enduro is cheaper, made here in America, and doesn’t use heavy marketing to sell their stuff. It’s just a great engineered product.

If you are after awesome oversized pulleys, check out SLF Motion. https://slf-motion.myshopify.com/

I use Enduro and am happy with them, as well.

Fixed that for you. All ceramic is marketing, unless you’re going after an hour record or national TT championships.

meh- friction has more to do with the lubricant and (to a lesser extent) the seals than the composition of the balls and races.

Yep! Anyone telling you their ceramic balls are better than others is misleading you.
