I’m shopping for a TT bike (my first one) and being in Belgium and having had a lot of problems in the past with companies not located in Europe I’m looking for European brands.
In my shopping list I have:
Ridley Dean FastOrbea Orduthe new Cube Aerium C:68
While the last one is new and I doubt anyone has used it before, I was wondering is someone has options or experience with the other two bikes.
Cheers
Simone

I just bought a second hand Dean Fast di2. Coming from a P3 and a P5, it’s a good bike. The cockpit is a little “old school”, at least compared to the P-series as everything is more “fixed”. Change extension length = cut, cut it too short? Too bad. Want to add/remove spacers? Remove the whole front, cables etc. So far the most annoying part is that I can’t make the extensions face inwards, they’re just “straight lines”. To achieve what I want with the extensions I think I have to buy curved extensions… Anyhow… So, you should kind of know your fit before putting it together.
I only managed a short 40 min ride before a car came out in front of me and I ended up in the ER… but the bike handles very well! I think it’s actually a little “sharper” than the P3/P5 and it feels very fast… Faster than the P3 and very close to the P5… It’s a stiffer ride than the P-series.
Otherwise, not much “triathlon-integrations” such as BTA, box or holes for bento box on top tube… But I guess that’s just a personal choice if you like to have stuff integrated or just add whatever you like the way you want it.
Thank you for the comments…
Indeed the lack of nutrition integration is a bit setting me off it… It has such a nice line but if you adding a bento box, and hydration system it feels like it looses the clean line, while other bikes are designed with triathlon in mind (instead of TdF TT :))
But I have offer of a second-hand from a pro athlete which at 2/3 of retail price gives me bike plus FFWD 60 wheels + FFWD disc and pioneer power meter. So… choice is … saving 4k euro or buying new bike that is more triathlon oriented?
i have been riding an m20i team for the past year and have nothing to complain about. I converted from a circa 2001 Aegis, so anything would have been an upgrade.
A couple things to note, and this is purely based on sizing - I essentially had to buy a medium since I got a deal through a contact of mine in the industry - I thought I was borderline M or L. After a proper fit, I’ve got I think 45mm of risers on the aerobars, but more importantly had to order a Large seatpost due to the Medium being cut down for a show bike - if you buy brand new you shouldn’t have this problem though.
But in terms of fit now that everything is sorted, it’s great. I couldn’t tell you if it’s faster than any other bike, but it’s faster than I am. It’s comfy for everything from sprints to HIMs. The Vision bars are OK - better than their previous style with the horrid aerobar clamps. Di2 has been a dream. And I can’t tell you how many comments I get from folks admiring it at races, if that matters to you.
My one or two calls into Orbea support were answered very quickly - one was a torque spec and the other was a question as to the seatpost length.
good luck.

Also mine would be a second-hand with M size… with eTap Sram
Thanks, also on the comment about Orbea support… being burned in the past by bad support in “traditional” industry, is one thing I like in a company.
Thx
