Halloween Candy

Oh, poor pup! Great pics, thanks.

Sorta reminded me of this  (skip to about 1:37)

5 minutes before the game started I went outside. Not one kid out there.

Everyone stopped in time to go home to watch the Jays.

We hit downtown and our GFs hood. They go all out with 30 or so houses in each section decked out like Halloween block parties. Kids had a blast.

I spent most of the time in the office today in a Johnny gown, a fake pair of buttcheeks, and a walker. People around the gym got a kick out of it.

My daughter got plenty of candy out tonight. It was a little chilly and very windy all day but the neighborhood was buzzing.

My kids didn’t bother with carrying bags - just dumped it all in the wagon

I like the efficiency. But…Is that a yarn/crochet Santa? Someone gave that out?

Yes - it’s a huge deal. The kids always want to go there first.

She crochets all year and fills a huge garbage bag. Last year they got a dinosaur and a seal. This year was santa and a hedgehog.

A guy in our neighborhood works for Mr Christie. He gives out full packages of chips ahoy every year.

Apparently there’s a little kids show featuring this character

When a black child wears it, the old white dude at the door says ā€œhey! It’s Spike Lee!!!ā€
(Blue & Orange = NY Knicks colors, which he wears sometimes)

Mom replied ā€œI kinda like that better!!!ā€

Wasn’t me!!! We gave out items from the Hershey Collection

When D’Kid was 10, we went to Hershey for Halloween and Trick or Treated through HersheyPark. He bought a witch costume for her at the nearby WalMart, and went around the park, where they had ā€œstationsā€ to pick up Hershey bars, Kisses, Rees’s Cups/Pieces, KitKat, Jolly Rancher, etc.

We also went to the zoo attached to HersheyPark to learn about scary creatures like bats, spiders, and vultures

That’s awesome!

I made a bunch of macrame skeletons to give to the Children’s Hospital kids for their ā€œreverse trick-or-treatā€ at work. It’s an oncology clinic, so lots of kiddos can’t eat certain things or are NPO for procedures, so I thought these would be cute for keychains/zipper pulls. This would be my first time posting a photo here, so I hope it works!

Our street is a dead end (not a cul-de-sac), and we rarely get trick-or-treaters, so a few of us sit at the bottom of the street, intersection with the main drive, and we get many more, plus it’s nice to hang out with the neighbors.

That’s an amazing thing you do, thank you. I’m sure the kids love it.

I’m sure the kids were thrilled. They are very cute and keychain pulls are very much a ā€œthingā€ these days.

Our count was 134. Only one Harry Potter and no Hermiones, which is a new low. The Reese Cup was our most popular offering. One kid asked for a 100 Grand bar, which was rather specific.

Dumb question, but how in the world do you keep track of the exact no. of Halloween visitors?
