Just picked up a new build from Shama Cycles! It fits like a glove. I guess I should start training harder to be able to do it justice! Philip did an amazing job on a dream build. Thanks very much to him for that.
Specs:
Chrono 901 Frame
HED Corsair Bars
SRAM Red TT Shifters
Zipp 90mm Stem
Rotor 3D Crank (170mm)
Q-Rings 53/39
SRAM Red FD
SRAM Red RD (switched the pulleys to TISO)
TRP 950SL Brakes
Nokon Cables
Yes I know the bottle cages in the back are not Aero (use them in training only), but I forgot to take them off for the pictures. I plan on running a bottle between the bars and perhaps a profile design aero bottle on the down tube. Thinking about switching to black Zipp decals or removing them completely.
beautiful bike. i have an old chrono from '07 and absolutely love it. the new 9 is fantastic.
The custom frame makes the fit and comfort on long rides just remarkable. I assume you went full custom with that build. Do they even sell stock sizes in the new 9?
Absolutely incredible! I am going to Shama one of these days! Every bike I have seen of his has been incredible, meanwhile I have been struggling to get a bike to fit my short torso and long ass legs.
I am surprised that the Corsair doesn’t have internal cable routing.
DUDE! The pics look GREAT! Thanks for the plug. It was a pleasure and I can’t wait to see your results on this bad boy.
The rest of you guys…thanks, and you crack me up. But yes…the bikes are easily spotted…when standing still.

HEY! Get back to work. Did Afton give you permission to get on ST?
Topic jump. I have a Merus. I have seen photos of some of your builds. Does cable housing run all the way through the frame for the front and rear derailleur and the rear brake?
I think he meant the housing. The 901 has three cable stops behind the stem where the cables then run bare into the frame. With Nokons however, you can run the liner through the frame, just not the aluminum bits.
It is so nice to see someone pay meticulous attention to detail in building a race bike. That is just beautiful, and meitculously built- right down to the cable length. Very well done. Beautiful.
