Guru Bike Pr0n

I’ve had this bike since June of 2006. I haven’t posted any pictures because I rarely have it in ‘racing mode’ (normally the training wheels are on it and so are the ugly powercranks). I also did not have a camera until recently. So I had the bike ready to go for IMWA down in Busso as I was withdrawn due to food poisoning and decided to take a few shots.

You only use one cage for IM racing? And that saddle doesn’t look too comfy! even like it’d stab right into your hamstring in a crash. :0

What’s the significance of MMB?

How do you like this bike? Did you get the custom measurments or stock frame? How long did it take to get from Guru? This is the bike I want! Very nice.

Oooooh pretty.

I like the bars you have. That style of bar is on my “wish list” upgrade for mine.

Me too. I have the standard integrated Visiontech bars, with the V-style drops (for trackies I guess). I don’t mind the slanting drops so much; it’s the upturn on the aerobars that bugs me.

Not sure if the pic will show as I just copied it from another thread. My bar/aero bars are pictured. I actually like the S bends but would love a flat bar to go with them  Maybe next year. I have used up my wish list dreams for 2007!http://i7.tinypic.com/21cro11.jpg

Sweep the floor, and for God’s sake, straighten the couch cushions!

Beautiful bike.

  1. I use a 24 oz bottle there filled with carbo pro 1200. I also use an aero bottle for water (unpictured). That plus three gels in my back pocket = 400 calories an hour or so for the ride.

  2. The saddle is the most comfortable I have ever used. I actually sit on the nose a bit. Don’t let the carbon put you off - you sit on a much harder wooden chair all the time, right?

It is a custom frame. I think it took about three or four weeks. They were pretty backed up at the time.

I agree. Rental cottage.

  1. how do you like the m2 Racers?

  2. How do you like that Oval fork?

what he said.

Nice bike, but what’s with the 2 inches of extra steerer tube?

As for cages, I’ve done IMAZ and IMLP with a single seat tube cage. Live off the course and you don’t need more than that.

  1. Love em. I use to have the saddle but it shattered on me the first ride I did after IMFL 06. They went out of business becacuse they were better engineers than businessmen. Too bad. I have a spare set of those pedals and a ton of cleats. You have to use a carbon sole shoe with them, btw.

  2. Great. Though I don’t have a lot to compare it to. My first bike was a 2nd hand 2001 Giant OCR-3.

Is there something I can do about that?

uhhh, you could cut it off…

nice lookin bike, too bad it is a Guru

nice build…I really like gurus
.

Great bike. My wifey has one and LOVES it. Carbon Fber artwork at its finest!

Reality check: The bike is WAAAAAAYYYY nicer than the circa 1960 couch. And those curtains? Yuck. great taste in bikes…questionable taste in the interior decoration department. At least you have your priorities straight.
