Guru Bicycles @ Ironman Lake Placid

Morning All!

Sorry for the blatant plug, but I wanted to inform you that I will be in attendance at Ironman Lake Placid and will be setting up at our local dealer, High Peaks Cyclery located at 331 Main St. I will be arriving on the Tuesday night, and will be able to provide service and answers to your questions at High Peaks during regular business hours. I’ll also have various small parts such as derailleur hangers, paint pens, and some samples of our Tri clothing. Should you wish me to bring anything specific, contact me at customerservice@gurubikes.com with your request, and I’ll bag and tag it for you.

In the spirit of the event, I’ll also be going on daily rides, rain or shine, starting on Wednesday the 18th at 7am sharp from High Peaks, so please fell free to join me for a couple of hours. I’m going to restrict myself to the 70k loop in either direction. Patios and terraces will be the hang out after shop hours.

Good Luck to all participants!

Just to keep it close to the ELITE thread… bump

Guru rider since '04

Bump

Guru rider since 2003.

Well, my first ride was on a borrowed Guru a size too big but it was enough to get me hooked and buy 3 more! I had one of the first (if not the first) PINK flamed Guru! Such a trendsetter I am!!

I’m smelling the “Guru Mafia” being formed;-0
.

Woo Hoo!

Guru Mafia it is!

All I need now is for Guru to send me a jersey to wear. Blatant hint Michel!
I have a cool tshirt of theirs, just need the jersey!

Guru Mafia it is!

Ugggh! Soooooo many “mafias.” Can’t it be a “gang,” a “cabal,” or maybe a “syndicate?”

Guru owner since '06

Edit: Michel, will you guys be in Wisconsin in September, too?

You should post more often. Gerard from Cervelo has sold a lot of bikes that way.

I really need to get me one of these to replace my TriTi

.

I’ll stop in and say hi. I have a black Crono.

it should be the GURU CARTEL
.

it should be the GURU CARTEL

Agreed. Or the Mounties.

I have a Rocky Mountain RM6 too so my Canadian bike manufacturer support level is high.

I like the Guru Cartel… That’s good.

I like that one, too.

Good…but what aboot…

Guru Cartel, EH?

Even better…

Guru Cartel, EH?

and so it goes

Proud Creator of the GURU CARTEL, EH?!

Proud Member of the Guru Cartel, Eh?

Aaaa, finally, a cartel I can enjoy!

Thank you very much for all your support. I look forward to meeting you all in Placid. Before I started working here at Guru, I had already been a Guru bike owner for 5 years. My original Crono 2001 is now retired for a newer, sleeker 2007 Crono. Those that were at Tupper Lake Tinman had an opportunity to meet me and see my Cinderella.

Hopefully we’ll have an opportunity to ride together; nothing like a pack of Guru riders on the road!

Guru Cartel, EH?

Hope you can come to IMFL, too.

I have a Chrono from just before you got the new paint job availability and the new Dynamic Fit Unit (DFU). I’d be curious to see that if you came to IMFL if you would be able to let people get a fit using the DFU and then compare it to how you built my bike that was based on traditional measurements.

I’d also want to know if it was possible to get a discount on swapping my plain frame for a new one (esp since mine came in not quiet the color I was told it would be).
