He lead off the bike at St Anthony’s triathlon, great ride. Unfortunately walked the run but seems to be 
I must have seen him in the top 15 stream of those running from the swim over the bridge to T1 at Swansea last year in the IM Pro Series race. He rode OK but DNF’d the run.

Who is doing that? Seems to me like we’re just talking about a race because we like this sport. No one is saying any of the dudes would win a Pro Series race.

The crazy part is, if he was racing under a British flag. He would have lost his Pro license last year and be back in the age group ranks this year.
more than one said that this win is “huge”. I mean, that’s a very similar quality field to the crappy South American/Asian 70.3 where we normally see world champs slots given to total unknows/irrelevant to the race athletes.

Well arithmetically, I suggest that 70.3 Chattanooga is a level above (not “very similar to”) the Asia and SA race SOFs. Go far, young man.
While I’m there I note that Shi was #2 in Shanghai but missed out qualifying for Nice as there was only one slot on offer: maybe Chinese winner would decline and it rolled down.
Pro field in Shanghai was probably below an average AG field in Europe. Good god Shi qualifying for Nice
